When I retired from teaching in spring 2022, I thought my
days as an influencer were over. So, you
can’t imagine my surprise when pageviews for Prof. Lehrer’s blog began to soar
in spring 2023.
While the highest number of monthly views I achieved prior to
my retirement was 8,000 - in May 2023
the total was 21,000. Each semester since
has seen similar amounts until June 2026 when the blog had 230,000 page
views!!! WOW.
It occurred to me that once I reached a million pageviews, a
response would be warranted.
So, here’s a special shout out to my fans in Singapore – (you
are now my number one country 😉) the U.S., Brazil and Hong Kong.
I am delighted that you and indeed anyone looking at this
blog recognizes the value of civil discourse with people who hold differing
points-of-views. Kudos to you all.
There is of course ample evidence that when it comes to
problem-solving, teams outperform individuals, and that the best results come
from the collaboration of diverse groups.
Making the need for discussion and compromise a must.
